360 Composer

360-degree video is a popular and easy-to-generate format for creating immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experiences. However; as is, it is a linear medium that does not allow any deviation from what was recorded. 360Composer changes this by splitting videos into smaller segments, the sequence of which is controlled by user interaction. The architecture uses web technology so that almost any device with a web browser can play the experiences, ranging from smartphones to VR headsets.

360Composer has been used in several research projects. It was developed within the PCIT-VR project but has since then been released into the public domain (360Composer on GitHub).
