DoorCast is a lightweight local casting facility for the lab’s Chromecast displays. It serves slideshow or dashboard content over HTTP and pushes it to the selected screen, with “Klein scherm” as the normal default target, which is the display in the window next to the door of the lab. The service keeps displays on the intended presentation page and can recover a cast if a screen falls back to the standard Chromecast backdrop.
